Callen-Lenz Koios Chooses Trillium's HD55-LV-CZ
Callen-Lenz, a Trillium customer since 2021 has chosen Trillium’s HD55-LV-CZ for its Koios, a Vertical Take-off and Landing (VTOL) unmanned aircraft system. Rooted in the southern region of the United Kingdom, Callen-Lenz develops and applies unmanned autonomous system (UAS) technologies for both civilian and military clients.
Koios is an operationally proven, medium-sized S2 VTOL platform offering strategic Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities with a tactical footprint. Designed, manufactured, and developed by Callen-Lenz, Koios delivers proven performance, when functionality, availability and safety are imminent. Customer’s span manned and unmanned teaming, border protection, convoy protection, wildfire monitoring, search and rescue, and agricultural monitoring.
With a wide variety of configurations uniquely designed for Group 2 and small Groups 3 UAS, the HD55 is setting new standards for industry-leading imagery and innovation. As a mid-sized, high-quality imaging system, the HD55-LV-CZ employs electro-optical (EO) with a 30x optical zoom and uncooled longwave infrared (LWIR) cameras, as well as onboard image processing. The advanced built-in GPS-aided INS delivers accuracy of down to 0.5 degrees, enabling the best possible real-time geopointing and geolocation capabilities. This imaging system was designed with a robust direct drive architecture to provide maximum precision and stability, making the HD55 one of the most frequently purchased gimbals.
